Fall 2026 High Point Market Sample Auction
The furniture industry’s biggest market, open to everyone
Bidder participation was so strong, with so many advance bids and requests, that we couldn’t get through all the requested merchandise. Thousands of pieces are still waiting to cross the auction block here at IMS.
Twice a year, High Point hosts one of the world’s most important furniture markets, normally reserved for the trade. This auction opens it to the public. Many lots are showroom samples, new introductions that have never reached retail floors, or unique pieces that may never go into production. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Whether you’re returning or new

Everything is available by request
How to bid
With thousands of pieces, the sale focuses on the merchandise bidders actually request.
Explore & register
Browse the catalog on HiBid. Review photos, measurements, contents and condition, then sign in and register for this auction.
Request your favorites
Online: place an opening bid. That is your request; a watch-list item is not. At IMS: get your bidder number and request tags, then tag the pieces you want offered.
Bid live
Join both days at 1 PM ET with video and sound on. Bid before the auctioneer passes an item; once passed, it can’t come back up until the next sale.
About opening bids: opening bids are real bids and generally start around 10–20% of the stated MSRP. We can’t lower them further without manufacturer or consignor authorization. Requests don’t guarantee a selling time or that every item will be reached.
Not just an online auction
Watch live with George
Some things can’t be appreciated from a photograph alone. George, our owner and founder, has spent a lifetime sourcing furnishings around the world. During the sale he explains the construction, materials and finishes that set each piece apart: hand-carved surfaces, substantial bronze work, natural stone and craftsmanship you might otherwise overlook.
“Your home should have its own personality, and it should never have to look like everyone else’s.”
